Hair loss is a dynamic process, so it continuous with the age of patient. The transplanted hairs have expectancy of 15-20 years. But if the patient undergoes hair transplant at very young age then there is a possibility that he might require a corrective session after 10-12 years after his surgery.

The hair transplant procedure is based on theory of donor dominance. The life of transplanted hairs depends on several factors like the technique used, the life style habit of the patient and quality of donor hairs. On an average our team requires approximately 6 hours to complete a session of transplanting 2500 grafts. During this period a tea break and post-surgery lunch is routinely planned to make the patient experience as comfortable as possible.

If the second surgery is required in the same region, then we prefer to operate 6-8 month after the first one. At this point of time the hair length is adequate to see the effect of styling. Our technique of performing FUE hair transplant is such that patient has minimal to no discomfort during or after the procedure. We routinely follow the use of topical anesthetics (cream/gels) and skin vibrators to make the procedure as comfortable as possible for the patient.

Transplanted hairs start growing after 3-4 months of the procedure and it grows with an average speed of 1 cm per month depending on the individual’s response to surgery. It takes approximately 6-8 months to evaluate the actual results of a hair transplant procedure.

Little or no time off from your routine schedule or work is required. And some patients return to the work on the very same day of the procedure with wearing a cap provided at the center. If you are anxious about the appearance after the procedure, you can prefer to wear a loose cap or scarf. You may also prefer to do what many of our clients do and get the procedure just before a weekend,thus allowing for 2-3 days rest at home. Strenuous exercises and swimming should be preferably avoided for 2 weeks after the surgery.
